2024 Dog Registration



Thank you for choosing to do online registration of your dog(s) for the current 2024 tag year (December 1, 2023 - January 31, 2024).



Please make sure you have the following information ready to complete this process:

  • Personal Information: Name, address, email, phone, etc. of owner.
  • Dog Information: Name, breed, age, gender, hair color, etc. of dog(s).
  • Payment Information: Credit card type, number and expiration date to pay for your tag(s).
Individual dog tags can also be purchased at one of our dog tag agencies.

NOTICE: Do not use this site if you are a kennel. You must go to the County Office Building where dog tags are sold if you want to register as a kennel.

Please note online fee:

  • Online payments are charged a convenience fee by the payment processor.
    • This fee is 2.350% of the payment amount with a minimum of $1.95.
    • This fee is not charged by the Auditor's office and Stark County receives no portion of this processor fee.
    • You will be told the amount of the fee before completing your transaction.
    • Types of credit cards accepted: Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express.
Instructions:

  • Owner search:
    • Find your OwnerID on the front of your mail reminder application letter.
    • If you purchased a tag last year, but OwnerID is unknown, leave it blank and use the name search instead.
    • If you are buying a dog tag in Stark County for the first time, use the "Register New Owner" button under the search.
    • If you are a new owner and have no prior tag purchases, you will need your new OwnerID.
    • Note: To purchase tags, you will need your OwnerID and have an online Profile for this website.
  • Tag search:
    • If you have multiple dogs, use only one tag number from the previous year (2023). It does not matter which one, the tag number will be used to find your OwnerID.
    • If you have a three-year (shape of Star) or lifetime (shape of Ohio) tag, please be sure to select the tag shape.
